Great little knife. I'm hoping there is an upscale version in the future with a deeper carry clip, titanium scales, and good blade steel.

DaveJBladeHQ has “coming soon” variants that are a little larger and some improved materials. This one says it will have a D2 blade and G10 show scale. I also like the little flipper tab that’s been added:

I'm hoping the CF model makes a comeback at BHQ or somewhere else. They sold out while I was filling my cart with other goodies. There is probably enough demand for another run.

Contacted Massdrop about this on March first. They couldn't tell me a shipping date, and offered to cancel the order. I gave them 7 days to provide a ship date, which we all know they still have not done and I opted to cancel the order. Now they tell me the order has progressed to far to cancel, but they still can't give me a ship date.
I can absolutely guarantee this is the last transaction I will make with Massdrop.

Massdrop if you could get this in a higher grade steel I would pay the extra Cost for the upgrade. Like a Damasteel blade . It would be a want for the knife community. Just my opinion. Still a cool little knife.

Mrdash007CRKT is one knife manufacturer who will probably upscale their blade steels. Their designs are wonderful but they limit their steels to 8Cr13MoV or AUS8. Contrast this with Kershaw, who will often create upscale variants of their econo-knives like Blurs, Leeks, Dividends and Links with 154CM, S30V, S35VN and Damascus steels.

This is my second time using massdrop and both have had shipping issues now... i joined a drop for the collective carry bolt pen, and the order magically got lost in the mail. After over a month i got refunded. And i thought id try one more drop on this knife and now its seeming like itll be the same issue?! Was supposed to ship the 27th of feb, still havent heard anything. Is massdrop legit, or a scam? Because now both my orders have had “issues”. this will be my last drop if theres no info soon

Willie1321It's legit, I've bought probably five different things from here and only one time had a shipping issue, and that time they were very good about communicating the reason for the delay. This radio silence is concerning.

Willie1321Funny, though, I’ve had an order get lost then they reshipped and then the original order appeared on my doorstep 6 weeks later. When I called they said basically no worries just keep it. I feel there isn’t a mean bone in their bodies: it’s just a case of their shipping and likely communications. Sure, it can be aggravating waiting but calm, rational concerns are answered in kind. And with a level of care that is refreshing for an on-line experience.
