If there’s anyone who knows the importance of a stout blade, it’s Danish knifemaker Jesper Voxnaes, who hand tests each of his designs in the fjords, forests, and harsh conditions of his native country. The Batum is the latest folder—available here in two sizes—that can easily handle tasks that necessitate strength and power. The blade is chunky and made from easy-to-sharpen 8Cr13MoV stainless steel. Though the knife is typically used for strenuous tasks, it offers a choil for choking up, too. Composed of half G-10 and half stainless steel, the handle is stout and fills the hand with ease. The pocket clip can be positioned for tip-up or tip-down carry depending on your preference.
