Founded in 1846 by Richard Cross and Edward W. Bradbury of Providence, Rhode Island, A.T. Cross is America's oldest manufacturer of fine writing instruments. From the Cross Chinese Zodiac Series, this 2015 Year of the Goat fountain pen celebrates those born under the eighth sign of the Chinese zodiac calendar. Available in black lacquer or 23-karat gold, this special edition pen features an engraved image of a prancing goat to reflect the charm, creativity, and intelligence accredited to those who hold the sign of the goat.
Note: At check-out, you can select a pen style from Fountain with Fine or Medium nib, Rollerball (- $50), or Ballpoint (- $90), and a finish type Black Lacquer or 23-karat Gold finish (+ $20).
Each special edition Year of the Goat features the image of a goat deeply engraved in 23-karat gold across barrel and cap, with 23-karat gold overlay plating the hardware and accents. The threaded cap screws closed and posts deeply on the slender end of the barrel, keeping the pen compact and balanced when posted. Fitted with a fine or Medium solid 18-karat gold nib that features engraving unique to this pen, the Year of the Goat fountain pen accepts Cross standard cartridges and converters. One converter and two cartridges are included in the special edition box, along with a Year of the Goat clear acrylic display stand.
For those who love this pen’s look and feel but prefer a more modern writing tip, the Year of the Goat pen is also available in Cross’s twist-style ballpoint and proprietary SelecTip rollerball with removable cap.
