This set of six cross stitch books is a stitcher’s treat full of letters and figures, flowers and vines, fish and fowl, and decorated friezes in ornate patterns. Formally named Dollfus Mieg et Compagnie in 1800, DMC has republished their archives in collaboration with Maison Sajou and Frédérique Crestin-Billet. Examples offered in these six books harken back to a time when DMC calicos and prints were famous in Europe. Printed on bristol board with a spiral binding, the six volumes offered here contain several pages of different alphabets, as well as additional pages of varied friezes and motifs. The last few pages of each volume contain an illustrated history of DMC.
