Product Description
This shell cordovan leather hails from the iconic Horween factory in Chicago. It begins with the fibrous flat muscle, or shell, of a horse’s hide Read More
Though horween leather is high quality, it will stretch at the thinness necessary for this style strap.
A better option is one made of kangaroo hide. The leather doesn't stretch nearly as much as others and is just as soft and supple.
Look into it, you'll see.
RayFOne of our custom made two piece Bourbon Shell Cordovan Straps would get you around the same color as the strap pictured, but it would be made from Shell which is the best leather on planet earth and last much longer and be the same price, if not cheaper, than the Omega strap. The OEM straps are generally made from many thin layers so once you go through one layer the strap is done for and practically useless.

I have one of the tiniest wrist (like 6 inches or slightly less), can this fit properly? Anyone has experience on this?
DA-LUCAThank you. I'm really enjoying my Chromexcel straps so far and think I'll try one of these also. Thanks for standing behind your product and answering all the questions. 👍👍
Received mine today. It is quite thick as i´ve expected, but fits my Hamilton Pilot Pioneer Auto Chrono without problem. Leather looks very durable and expensive, does not stretch even when pulled. Another nice thing, even my $150 Bulang and Sons strap needed some time to break in (to become comfortable), this is a spot on right from the box, very very comfortable to wear, and does not move or rotate around wrist even when set quite loose.
Satisfied.
I was sorry to see that the other style of Da Luca cordovan one-piece military strap Drop didn't make back in January. It had the beautiful green Horween shell. Any chance for more interesting Horween colors next time around for this style? That green or the Intense Blue would be great. Heck, even Color #4 is somewhat more interesting than Color #8.
Just giving sort of a general thumbs-up about DaLuca. Since the drop didn't end up having quite what I was looking for, I bit the bullet and placed a custom order directly from DaLuca instead. I had a couple of questions, so I ended up calling them, and I have to say that was some of the best customer service I've had anywhere in a long time. What came through more than anything is their clear desire that their clients be happy and really enjoy and use their watchbands. I know I'm coming dangerously close to sounding like a shill, which is not my intention at all. I just wanted to say that I was very pleasantly surprised by my experience, and I wanted to pass that feedback along to the rest of the [Mass]Drop community.
If anybody has any last minute questions about the drop or product feel free to post it on here so we can answer it in time. Thanks for all the love and support.
TTMVWe wrote the below statement to try and help clarify this Drop, since Drop put the wrong photo as the main image. The simple answer is “with the keeper” is the only style being offered on this Drop.
Copied from above:
”We just wanted to make it as clear as possible for the drop starting today Tuesday October 13th, 2020. Every single strap being sold and shipped for this Drop is only of the full and longer style watch strap that includes 1x buckle and 3x rings with the extra flap of leather underneath that holds the 4th piece of hardware. We just wanted to make sure this is clear for this Drop. If you need further clarification please ask questions here or feel free to email us at Info@DaLucaStraps.com.”
Lee7sauceShell varies per hide and per section per hide. We generally use the thinner pieces for the 18mm and 20mm widths and then use the thicker pieces for the 22-26mm widths.
