WATCH THIS VIDEO!!!! SOLD.........

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=31nHlgDXFz8 Zreviews man does this cheap lil thing sound good with the 1954, ge and tung-sol(ken rad is a little thin for me, rca the decay is too fast) I think the tung-sol is a little better(thicker)(I read these jump the power 10%) he only changes the pre amp tube too not the power tube(rectifier?). Forget chifis man what tubes do to vocals and that analoging of the sound. Makes the track sing even from a digital dac. I think hes feeding everything from the emotiva and not using the panda dac. I was surprised those even sound good I also found out the aune s16(the flagship above the one he has) has a little fpga fifo(nothing describes what the fpga is doing like on the chord tho and I doubt its in the chords league) but the aunes look like they sound better than I expected.

g_v_lStill you wont find a better example of the capabilities of this amp(on the cheap) and why it is definitely worth 200 bucks. He has another video with the woo wa22 the top end of the highs singing and the extension...... I wonder what would happen if you upgraded the internals with better components and silver wires(silver is great for extending highs I wonder if plain old sterling craft wire would work)(Im thinking this is also an amp that would benefit from a nice power cable(everything does) but this more than average laugh about the power cable but Ive seen it do more than interconnects on dacs and players assuming you already have decent lower end or hombrew interconnects already(not consumer grade or ratshack (chinese consumer grade) stuff premade from the discount store))(looks like the pre amp tube(smaller) controls the dynamics and transients and the thickness like the ge and tung sol)(the hum is eliminated by a power cleaner not a capacitor mod and looking at the inside how the whole amp is analog this is definitely something you want to run on a power cleaner I bet my old belkin power cleaner will be good enough seeing as this only needs 60 watts) if maybe you couldnt pull more out of it(or occ single crystal copper transformers)........ I had my heart set on some good chifis but those can wait.... when I heard these tubes i realized what Im missing I have a mojo, and an iDSD, but these tubes sing and make it sound analog I see now what people mean by spooky imaging too..... for decades people considered tubes the bar and every extremely high end amp thats considered godlike or even reading the higher end of 6moons they always say the best amps have tubes and are at least hybrids digital/tube. There is no cheaper entry plus at this kind of money you can modify it and you wont feel like you destroyed and lost your 600 bucks like you would with a woo. Even the Torpedo amp kit I bet the enclosure is half of the 400 dollar cost of the kit the enclosure alone is worth 200.... its like the perfect upgrade path cause its completely functional on its own and the more money you sink into it over time the better it gets.

The Wa22 is like upper mid-fi at 2gs in the world of tube amps good ones are like 3gs 4gs and the sky is the limit Im sure 6moons has tested some in the 40g range or 100g range(not to say they are all good I remember seeing some crazy sites back in the day with ridiculous amp prices). Still these videos are probably the most specific to deciding on this deal. I just dont like how he never does any thinking or analysis but recorded audio does say more but its very easy to take money from google and buy things and put them on video and then point at one and say this one is better its completely mindless and it comes off cheesy. When you watch The Grand Tour you can tell they have developed taste and have all the wording laid out for decades and put work and showmanship into their reviews. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OeNFZEMSRVc

iCeOL8TRAmnesiaThe "singing" of the tube is merely a distortion. Some like it some don't. Turns out I do. Some amps are designed to minimize it, but the tube coloration in DV is far from subtle. That's all you heard in that video.

iCeOL8TRAmnesiaIn the video he says he's feeding from the Panda DAC into the pre-out of the Darkvoice, then back into the amp of the Panda. I was all set to buy this amp, but in another one of his Darkvoice reviews he basically says you should buy a solid-state amp first before getting a tube amp, so I went with a Schiit stack instead. Haha.
