Hi ! Will the DROP OLKB PLANCK MECHANICAL KEYBOARD KIT V6 fit in this nice woodcase ? If so, I plan to use MT3 /dev/tty keycaps, anyone cam confirm that the tall lid is good only choice for such keycaps ? Thanks for your help !
Thanks ! Last question : I ordered my Plank Kit V6 for/with a mid-pro aluminium case. Will the plate/screws coming in this kit fit in this woodcase ? Or will I have to get new plate/screws specific for high-pro cases ?
For those asking, I'm adding two potato quality images that show how deep the keycaps sit into the case, and how much taller the tall lid is than the regular lid.
Sorta new to the keyboard game, so excuse the stupid question. What's gained by having the tall version? Does the standard one not fit all keycap heights?
boosmyllerNot a stupid question! Yes the standard version only fits keycap heights of standard height or lower. Anything taller, like SA, will need the taller lid to fit without depressing the keycaps when the case is closed.
Reposting this from the previous drop for visibility: I wanted to add some pictures to this, since the pictures on the massdrop page are sorta hacked together. They didn't have a rev 6 planck to put into the case when the pictures were taken.

Sorry I don't have any pictures of the taller lid, but it will be taller by about 1/4". Hopefully the first image gives people an idea of how deep the caps sit into the case. It's very much similar to Jack's Hi-Pro style of cases on olkb.com
To clear up any confusion. The side profile pic (4 of 12) is a photoshopped image of a lo-pro Planck set on top of this case. Massdrop did not have any Hi-Pro Plancks available for photography. The keycaps will sit much lower than is pictured in that image. As far as the profile of keycaps that will fit; it should fit most keycaps that are NOT SA profile. SA Profile caps will *sorta* fit, in that the lid will close, but the keycaps will be depressed when the lid is closed.
EDIT: I think the last time Massdrop had a drop for the Planck keyboard kit, they had both Lo-Pro and Hi-Pro options.
EDIT 2: It is important to note that Lo-Pro and Hi-Pro Plancks have different plate sizes, and this case will not fit a Lo-Pro Planck plate. https://olkb.com/planck has some information on this.
