rslataraTH-900 = Bigger opening (round), bigger sound stage, more v-shaped sound (recessed mid). TH-X00 = Small opening (oval), small sound stage, more balanced sound (better mid).
In general people seems to like TH-900 better for comfort and TH-X00 better for balanced sound. But it really depend on what headphone you're using these on.

HydeI have TH-X00 Mahogany. Would the Elite Hybrids with attenuation rings be good? I have Brainwavz ovals and they sound ok stuffed with tissue. They DO sound a bit harsh in the highs. Are ANY of the TH-X00 pads thicker than the stock pads? Imget no clamp at all with the stock pads. Brainwavz @ 30 mm thick are an improvement but Imstill need more clamping force. Dekoni doesn’t list thickness of their pads.

Assimilator702Hmmm I think all the dekoni pads are thicker than stock, not hugely but they are thicker by a little bit, I would say in terms of thickness it's probably like stock -> dekoni -> brainwavz.
Sound wise (in my opinion/preference) is stock > dekoni protein leather > sheepskin > hybird > brainwavz angled (don't have the flat to try). Stock sounds the best.
Keep in mind in general the thicker the ear pad the worse it sounds so it will be a tricky balance. Another thing you can try is bending the headband inward. I haven't personally tried but typically metal headphone headbands can take quite a bit of bending and not break. If not then I think dekoni protein leather is not bad, generally I find attenuation ring makes the sound sound thick, but some people like that (personally I don't).
Lol I do find everyone prefer different things so a bit of trial and error might be required. :P
