Ugh what a waste this was. If you're not a high roller and have a big stack of bills then it's basically useless. There's a roughly 2mm gap and that's as tight as it gets, if you only have a few bills they just fall out

Ryde, I'm so sorry that you've had issues with our clip, and apologize that I'm just now seeing this. I've never seen a clip deform like that so it must be a dud. Please email me at support@dfwcomposites.com and I'll get a new one sent out to you immediately. One of the great things about carbon is that it doesn't allow for any plastic deformation - only elastic deformation. That means that it should snap back to its original position from any shape that you bend it to, or it will reach its breaking point. So yes, it's very curious that this has happened to yours. I'd like to hear more about how it happened as well so please do reach out to me at support@dfwcomposites.com and we can try and figure it out + send you a new one, no questions asked.

RydeMine has this same issue. Should I call it a "defect" Should I contact massdrop support? Has anyone else experienced this? Beautiful clip, just very disappointed, can't use with just a few bills unless I just gather up a bunch of useless business cards.... Can I get some support here, please. hipster65@msn.com

Fair enough though I have seen and have purchased composite money clip(s) from a local vendor produced from carbon fiber which are easily half this price

So did you or anyone at MassDrop notice; ( because you haven't mentioned it in your lengthy replies), the fact these are being sold for more than the MSRP?
I'm sure you produce a great product, I just won't be purchasing it through this drop.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to make everyone aware of the error in the expected ship date, the drop said they would ship over the weekend but these are expected to ship Monday 4/25.

Man!! -- I don't normally do this, but the identical looking product is on Amazon for $11.99 - Prime, 2 day shipping. . I got one and it works just like a money clip should and it looks great. Same exact designs offered for those as these here on MD..... CL Carbonlife is the name of them.

I am a member of MassDrop to get the best deals I can, on things I like. I am not going to make a big deal out of this (i.e., I ain't here to argue or anything like that). As I said, I am here for the deals - it's a free market economy that we have here in the US.....
So, with that said -- (and I did not know this until 3 minutes ago when I googled "best money clips" [to which I DID fully expect DFW to show up on] ....) --- check out #6 on https://www.gearhungry.com/best-money-clips-for-men/
Just saying.... and I have no problems with it. Still shiny, still smooth, still looks good after a few months, still holds all my cash right where I expect it to be.... I'm sure the one in my pocket is made in China or Taiwan, or who knows..... I'm sure the ones from DFW are made in Texas - I do my part to support the local Man, but not at a 60% mark up for essentially, the same end user experience..... Sorry......

Hey guys! Drop ended earlier in the morning today. Thanks to everyone who participated! Please expect most of these to ship out by the end of next week. We are completely out of Matte finish clips but are in the process of making more. Worst case, those will ship a few days behind the others, but I'm hoping to have them ready by late next week so they can go out with the others once Massdrop processes everything.

So the shipping to Singapore is $12.99, while international shipping on DFW's website is $5. This basically makes the drop the same price as buying directly. What gives?

Purchased for myself over a year ago.
Product is incredibly durable and light. maintains its shape well. Very high quality. Also doesnt seem to show scratches at all. Looks new
It did have a very slight gap to begin with, but i use it instead of a wallet, so it fits 3 cards and cash incredibly well. Maybe a little tight.
