Smarter, faster, and sleeker than its predecessors, the new DJI Phantom 4 is not just easier to fly, it also boasts the best imaging capabilities to date. Even flight time—28 minutes or more—has been improved. Intuitive features such as ActiveTrack and TapFly allow you to operate the drone with minimal involvement, while a redesigned chassis increases battery life and improves agility and speed. And then there’s the high-performance camera, delivering clean 4K video at 30fps and, for seamless slow-mo, Full HD 1080p at 120fps. It’s the most advanced drone in the Phantom series.
Featuring two forward-facing sensors, the Phantom 4’s Vision Positioning System has been improved, allowing precise hovering, instant braking, and obstacle avoidance up to 10 meters in radius. And with TapFly, you’ll be able to simply touch a point on your smartphone to reposition the drone. Want it to follow a specific object? Engage ActiveTrack, and the Phantom 4 will keep it in frame—no GPS required. Even at speeds of 45 miles per hour, the Phantom 4 can keep pace, thanks to the new addition of Sport Mode.
Thanks in part to the U-frame design of the integrated three-axis gimbal, the Phantom 4 offers razor-sharp video. But it’s also the newly redesigned aspherical lens that gives it a leg up, reducing distortion and chromatic aberration, as compared with the Phantom 3. And then there’s Vivid Mode, which amplifies color and contrast, as well as Cine-D and D-Log modes, which deliver high dynamic range. Even close-up shots are sharp, thanks to a hyperfocal length of 1 meter. And when it comes time to edit your footage, the Phantom 4 offers Adobe DNG RAW support and lens profiles built directly into Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
