I feel like Drop has somehow become a website where you come to suffer a "Death by 1000 cuts" style demise of disappointment. I can understand the "Covid-19 has slowed things down" excuse only so much. I am in no way an expert in production/warehousing/order-fulfillment, however I do not think it takes an expert to occasionally touch base with the companies producing products that you have told your paying customers you will ship by a given date.
To further head things off at the pass: I am in no way requesting that Drop endanger its own employees or the employees of any company it works with in order to fulfill a Drop on time. I am simply requesting that some sort of reliable and clear communication occur between Drop and its customer base concerning things such as delays. Notifying your customers that a delay has happened the same day that the orders are supposed to ship is completely unacceptable. I do not feel that it is an unreasonable request for Drop to let us know of a delay that they clearly have known of/should have known of before now. Delays I can understand to a certain degree. A lackluster "Sorry but this drop is delayed" email with 0 information as to how or why falls short of informative in literally every sense of the word.
This is not the only Drop that this has happened with. I feel that it is a major failing on Drops part not to have reached out to its suppliers/manufacturers regarding updated timelines for their projects and then communicate this to its customers. It is simple logic that if multiple issues have already arisen within other Drops that this will likely be the case with all Drops.
I am in no way in dire need of this keycap set at this given time, but I can not envision myself doing any further business with Drop if this is how they are to continue interacting with their customers. I will likely reach out to support to cancel this order and refund my money so that I can order this very same set on AliEx for $3 cheaper. I don't believe in screaming at companies and their lower employees to make a point, because they are largely at the whims of upper management.
I do believe in voicing my opinions and support with my wallet. I think the current situation with poor to no communication between Drop and its customer base is likely to become the new norm. I find that both unacceptable and disappointing. I doubt anything will change until Drop realizes people are leaving in droves to buy the same items from other sources.

Edit: now 3/3 items from Drop in the last 3 months have been delayed. Please revise how you figure out estimates.
yep, ive cancelled as well. Probably delete my DROP account at this rate. Only thing that might keep me here is if they offer some REAL shipping options to Australia.

Almost every damn thing that drop sell are made in China no idea why there's no warehouse an qc team there. Cheaper shipping too atleast to us aussie lol.
I was having this same problem too! However, I just doubled down and went with my gut and bought the WoB. It's just so simple and classic, and I really think it'll fit my board.
I dipped on the BoB, i was like you and i was torn on the classic look of WoB i was actually about to buy the Maxkey WoB set but i waited for this instead, besides i always wanted that SA Ninja set and this is the cheaper alternative.
If you select BoB for the CYMK, it will be the black legends. WoB will by the white legends. There is a limitation in our system where check option images is only limited to one selection.

I was looking forward so much to my first set of SA keycaps lol but figured I'd wait to hear back before sending the order through 🤦♂️. Oh a delay and you noticed it again on the time you should be shipping out orders. Sounds like some intern goes to the warehouse to ship it and oops, the items aren't there.
This whole delay stuff got so much out of hand, that I stopped believing that you're just naively optimistic and start to think that you're estimating a bit earlier to sell more.
I'll cancel all orders I still can and buy somewhere else.
schwarzgrauIndeed, how do they notice there is going to be a delay the day the orders are supposed to be shipping, i mean i bet if they were in contact with the supplier they could have known about production issues weeks ago and send an email to the costumers telling them about a possible delay instead of informing them the same they the product is supposed to be shipping.
