This is by far the best price to performance you can get. While listening the open back design really helps spatial awareness and makes the sound feel more real. Of course with the reputation of Sennheiser their sound quality is phenomenal and approaches the $300 mark headphone performance but isn't quite there as you make out and hear where instruments in music are and footsteps in games but isn't quite clear or crisp. Plus there is a functioning mic at this price point on top of it all though not the absolute best sound quality. Exceptional Value.
Great audio, mic quality leaves a lot to be desired
After seeing all the reviews and comments raving about these i finally got them after my Logitech g635's died. I'm torn, the audio is much cleaner (yet quieter), its lighter and more comfy, but the mic is pretty bad unlike everyone says. The Logitech mic was much better... the P38x mic is super quiet, hollow sounding, and has ZERO pop filtering, you hear it all...
Edit: Microphone literally died 2nd day after only 2 hours of use the first day. EXTREMELY disappointed
Does everything you would expect at this price point. Sound is bright and clear, with a slight bass boost.
Mic performs clear and with good quality.
Clamp force is perfect for me, I can wear these all day.
Unsurprisingly, Sennheiser has a great sound signature. The mic is perfectly serviceable, but I tend to prefer a discrete mic. I had the PC360 for years and upgraded to this headset. If looking for a good headset at a good price, this is a great choice.
