After installing this, my Sense75 became the heaviest keyboard in my collection.
Now I feel the keyboard is really premium. Worth every penny!
Did it change the sound? Uh... not really :)
Almost a kilo of brass, because why not?
After adding one of these, you won't be able to consider the aluminum "weight" as anything more than a placeholder. Not that you NEED this much weight in your keyboard in the first place. It will feel cool and "premium" nonetheless.
Drop™️ a keyboard with this installed on your foot, and you're likely to break a toe (and the keyboard) in one go, so maybe avoid doing that.
I'm sure it changes the acoustics and/or dampens the sound to some extent, but I wouldn't get too invested in any practical reasons for the purchase. If you already think the idea is cool, I'll say that it's likely going to make you smile once you feel it. That's why you should buy it.
Now I'm excited for the brass plate I have on-order, and I just got the knob. When all is said and done, it'll make for a cool cohesive build, from front to back.
My only gripe with the Sense75 has been that as well-built and solid as it feels "out of the box", it just didn't seem to pack the weight I expected. Well, until I installed the brass weight that is. It makes an insane difference and the keyboard feels pretty much spot on now hitting 4.77lbs in my case. Perfect.
Very hefty weight to replace the stock one. Would be great to have the barebones shipped more disassembled but easy enough. This is about 150% the weight of the stock if i had to guess. Doesn't really change sound that much.
adds significant heft to the keyboard (in a good way), highly recommend despite the price as it adds a premium feel that isn't accomplished elsewhere with upgrades
It substantially adds a heft to the keyboard that makes it almost immovable, especially when typing. Definitely recommend to anyone that wants to change the look, feel, and sound of their Sense75. Looks especially good on the Nightfall version.
