Everyone seems to be focusing on the sound difference so I won't touch on that. Instead, let me just say that this is the most convenient way of applying switch pads. Call me old-fashioned but I've always been accustomed to those small sticky rubbery squares that you have to apply to each individual switch location - one at a time - that are time-consuming and a pain in the rear-end if you get them misaligned, but this thing is a breeze, cutting down build time drastically. It's precision is impeccable.
Is there a massive difference in the sound signature? Well, in my case with the POM plate I didn't find the difference to be massive but it IS definitely there. Would I recommend it? For the price, absolutely.
This was a really good get for my Sense75, as this board struggles acoustically. Depending on what combo of plate, switches, and caps you're using, this may be more or less desirable: in my board with the FR4 plate, swapped EPDM bottom gaskets from a GMMK PRO FlexKit, plate foam, Polyfill to sit in for that SUPER sad stock case foam they give you, stock tape mod, Momoka Frogs, and Cherry PBoW, the sound is nice and deep, but has a bit of a pop to the sound at bottom-out that gives the otherwise very deep-sounding board a bit more character.
I truly believe that these should have been included with the original Sense75 keyboard - they're a nice addition but I had to buy it on top of the keyboard. It comes in good packaging and it's easy to install. These change the feel of the keyboard, but not the sound as much as I originally thought.
It’s a very convenient mod to slightly reduce some of the hollow sounds in your keyboard. It also helps provide stability to switches to reduce rattling.
Works great and saves the effort of cutting your own. Wouldn't buy it if not for DKC though. To be honest it should really start coming with the Sense75 as I don't imagine it'd cost them much and it'd drastically improve the sound.
