I'll repeat what people have been saying for a while now, make a V2 that supports 5 pin switches and redesign the case to have a plate that supports screw in stabs.
Gen Cherry stabs should at least be an optional upgrade. The only gen and in-stock plate-mount Cherry stabs I could find cost me nearly $40 w/ shipping (but sadly, worth every penny). An option for Halo Clear or Holy Panda™ switches would be a good move as well for anyone that doesn't come equipped with jackhammers for fingers.
I'm going to answer since I don't think anyone addressed what you were asking here. The short answer is, no, it does not. Switches can generally be divided into 3-pin (Plate-mount) and 5-pin (PCB-mount.) As 3-pin switches only have 3 connections to the PCB, it is nominally less stable than the 5-pin switches, which as you can guess, have 5 connections to the PCB - hence, plate mount vs pcb mount. An example of a 3 pin switch brand is outemu, whereas more expensive enthusiast switches are generally 5 pin (i.e the Tangerines from TKC). The issue with 3 vs 5 pin PCB boards is that while a 5 pin compatible PCB board can accept 3 pin switches, a 3 pin compatible board does not have the holes for a 5 pin switch.
With that being said, RAMA boards are generally considered mid-high end enthusiast grade boards, while DROP offers more of a high end consumer grade board that's preconstructed with low barrier to entry. If you're delving into the world of MK, the drop boards are an excellent starting point.
I too would buy the white casing for a CTRL High-Profile in a heartbeat.
I put the white Skylight key caps on my gray CTRL and goddamn it’s pretty, but can’t help but feel that it would look 10 times better on a white case.
Standalone PCB's will be available for sale before EOY. In terms of case color/configs that are available, what you see on the site now is probably all we have for the next little while.
Kevinbarebones "sentinel" available sometime?? hoping for high-profile CTRL cases in other colors but I'm an SA person and have no interest in these keycaps.
KevinI already bought my KB, not knowing it would be added. How would I be able to add the warranty to it? Would it be possible to add on the warranty to my KB via a separate purchase?
