What is SpaceFN and why you should give it a try
The SpaceFN concept - setting up your space key as a layer switch when held - is probably one of the most useful tweaks in the keyboard hobby. Let me explain how it works. My SpaceFN article on kbd.news made some rounds recently - quite surprisingly given the age of this concept. This piece you're reading is a condensed version of the full post. If you're left with unanswered questions, you'll most likely find the info you're looking for in the original write-up. On my imaginary top list of the most useful keyboard features, tweaks and hacks, SpaceFN would deserve a podium finish for sure. But what makes it so special? In short: SpaceFN is easy to implement, easy to learn, costs nothing, can be used with any keyboard, and can improve your productivity instantly. I will list its benefits below, but can state right at this point that the SpaceFN concept, setting up your space key as a layer switch when held, is clearly one of the most useful tweaks in the keyboard hobby....

being German myself i use a modified ansi layout for several reasons.
I've two questions. Where is the "ISO-industry" offering iso or ansi keycaps for the iso-lovers. And the more important one, which iso-layout are we talking about.
ISO Qwerty: CA, DK, EE, FI, FO, IE, IS, GL, NO, SE, FI, Nordic or UK. ISO Qwertz: AT, CH, DE or Neo. ISO Azerty: BE or FR and what about the Netherlands or Turkey.
The ISO-"problem" is quiet obvious and if i would produce keycaps, i would tell the iso lovers, unite and we can have a chance to approach your need/wish.
Cheers
I've bought a couple of keycaps at the old pimpmykeyboard shop. If there had been ten ic's that made it and were produced, 9.5 didn't made it to get an "universal" iso-childdeal tipped, even though the numbers asked for had been low.
I can somehow understand, that SP might have given up on this behalf. But with a wider range of customers at MD this might change again in the future.
first, i'm not against you, options are always good, the more the better.
"I know my board and I don't care about the country specific lettering but that the keyset fits my boards layout." This is you, but what about the other people that do care?
"Do you really think the ISO ppl from geekhack/ deskthority/ reddit wouldn't buy any ISO layout if they could?" Like i said in the comment above, most of the time, these child deals didn't made it at SP, and the ic's have been told to the named communities, they even were made many times with the help/input of that people.
It's new to me, that Vortex has keycaps in DCS profile, i thought so far they prefer OEM.
This is only me, but if this Dolch Set would be the one i really want for my Pok3r , i would buy it for the alphas and exchange all of the modifiers with blank ISO caps from SP to my liking. Senseless, expensive, but that's me.
Hopefully the new UNIKEY shop by GMK, people are waiting for, might be able to help you: http://www.uniqey.net/
Fingers crossed that you might find what you're looking for someday!
you're correct, forgetting to hit the enter key to get a new line can "dramaticly" change what has been ment.
Cheers
DId you get your missing keycaps from the Blank PBT keycaps set yet? :)
