Not again Dwarf Factory! Even though they're expensive, each time I buy them I think: "it's the last time". But each time I see a new Drop, I watch my own Dwarf Factory keys (6 keys) and think: "Omg they're so gorgeous. Maybe it's the last time they do this, I should not take the risk to not buy one"
Hey everyone!
I just got information that these ADORABLE artisans are en route to our warehouse so please be a little more patient and expect them to arrive to your doorstep soon! :)
New to this, so sorry if i re-ask an entry level question:
Is the only difference between SA-R1 and DOM the shape of the cap? In that sense, SA would replace any "almost" any key on the board (and be similar shape)... DOM will be "dome shaped" and stick out like a sore thumb, but may look better when admiring it? So it'd come down to preference of looks.
**If this makes a difference, I have a Duckie FrozenLama on a purple KBDfan 60. Is twilight sparkle compatible?
Thanks for the help and advice. Ready to pull the triggeR.
Hello, I am new to all of this. I don't understand all the teachical things but I am in love with these! I have a Razer BlackWidow X Chroma and I am wondering if the key caps are compatible with it, and which type is which. Thank you for explaining this for someone not verse in the lingo :)
Sorry, I could have been clearer. SA is a tall, sculpted keycap shape. It is not the dome version,SA has the concave area at the top. The dome version is generally just called dome or domed.
It sounds like you have clicky keyswitches. The three switch types are generally called clicky, tactile, and linear. Clicky makes a sound, tactile has a slight bump that is felt when pressed but no sound, and linear has a completely smooth operation for the entire press. They are solely personal preference. Any stated difference for gaming, typing, etc is completely negligible.
As for changing the sound, actually SA caps are commonly understood to be best for getting good sound out of clicky switches. But again I will warn that for most people SA caps are really not good for things like gaming and you will probably not enjoy using them. Really any quality keycap is going to benefit the sound in my experience. I think caps that are made in doubleshot PBT or even ABS but with a bit more thickness than the standard caps that come with most keyboards with ink that rubs off over time. Really unique shaped ones like SA or XDA look cool but aren't great to type or game on IMHO. I would look for something in the Cherry, MT, or GMK profiles. I believe they are all better than OEM. You can find some great keycap profile comparisons made by people on google images to see differences.
I have both SA and XDA shaped keycaps, and while I like to look at and collect them, for me they are more for show than actual intensive or long term use.
JrezkyI am so grateful that you took the time to answer in so much detail. Thank you very much for all of your opinions. They really helped me. Have a wonderful weekend!
So you are confirming the purple is wearing rayban sunglasses? The product picture in the list shows normal eyes but every other picture shows purple with sunglasses.
