So, would it be compatible if you use a battery grip? I know the grip wouldn't be covered, but asking since I have a grip on my D7000.

Unfortunately not, the easyCover we sell for the D7000 is only for the body without the battery grip.

silverthornneYes, it will work with a battery grip if the battery grip is one that just screws into the bottom of the camera via the camera's tripod socket. The easyCover case MUST be modified to accommodate the battery grip and the process is simple - just use something sharp (exacto blade or scissors) to trim off parts of the silicon case that are preventing the camera from being flush with the battery grip.
