Tbyrd12Both my desktop and laptop have optical outs, which I use. It 's nice because there's literally zero interference. Completely removes the hum on my amp. Also, in my case, not sure about this one, I can send the audio digitally to my amp. This uses the DAC in the amp as apposed to my sound card, which since the amp's soundcard is nicer, makes a big difference.
