From El Casco, a Spanish company with a long history in metalwork, this inkwell is the ultimate desk accessory for any fountain pen enthusiast. Its heirloom-quality construction—solid, hand-polished brass—means you can pass it down for generations to come. The hinged lid and removable inner well allow for easy filling and cleaning, while the side-view window lets you see when your ink is running low. Each inkwell is appointed with a knightly logo, appropriate for El Casco, whose name translates to “the helmet.”
Note: This drop’s base price is for the inkwell with the Satin Silver finish. At checkout, you’ll have the option to upgrade to Chrome (+ $12), Chrome and Black (+ $8), Gold (+ $25), or Gold and Black (+ $20). The latter two options are plated with 23 ct. gold. This drop is limited to 5 units for each finish.
Founded in September of 1920, El Casco was originally a firearm factory. When the economic downturn came in 1929 and the arms industry began to struggle, the company decided to expand its product line to include staplers and pencil sharpeners—and later, desk accessories. Despite modern advancements, El Casco’s products are still largely made by hand and each part individually numbered for assembly.
