When you need a hot meal on the trail, turn to the EmberLit FireAnt woodburning stove. Made of titanium, it weighs just 2.8 ounces and folds down flat (to an eighth of an inch!) for easy storage in your pack Read More
Got mine and it is a beast. Incredible design. Must have for all kinds of reasons. Fires up extremely easy. Had a rolling boil in about ten minutes. Very nice and tiny. Definitely buying one or two more to go in truck and bag. This is for the backcountry
I got mine today, as predicted. The stove is smaller than I expected but that is my fault. I have been looking for something like this since I used something similar in Canada years ago on a canoe adventure. This packs so small.
heads up, gram weenies: this stove is continually advertised to be lighter than actual. they claim the 2.8 oz was of a flimsy ti that they no longer make due to durability issues, but seem to refuse to re-list the actual weight. mine came in at 4.5 oz so i sent it back for refund.
te-waI thought mine felt heavy. I was worried the packaging got mixed up, and I got a stainless steel stove instead of Ti. But what you‘re saying kinda clears that up. Thanks
Just going to selflessly plug the bush buddy https://bushbuddystove.com/ here. It burns wood fuel much more efficiently and creates no (black) smoke (unless you feed it nothing but fresh pine-cones, that sap is tricky)!
Interesting option. Soot on your stove and pot to get on your tent and liners for camp pads. Then, onto the backpack and have to store carefully in gear storage. Not all trails have sticks when there are a lot of rocks. May be hard to start in wet weather. Definitely also bring a lighter with you. Maybe solid fuel tabs. Not sure when no "open fires" rules might cause a ranger to come by when they see the smoke. Not sure I want to smell up the air with smoke. Definitely not as quick as the other stoves. Maybe just not for me.
This is a fantastic little stove. Super light and very compact. I've used mine extensively. Backpacking, car camping or BOB this is a great solution for reliable, inexpensive and fast meal prepping or water boiling. I'd buy another, but the one I have appears to be indestructible.
Verified. I just order the titanium stove and fire ant pouch with shipping directly from thier website for $61.19 with the code EMB25. ( thanks Dtotheatothevtothee) ......... and it get here in just a week!
PuturgearthruthetestYeah, I know because I could not get their 10% Facebook code to work. They sent me "EMB20" for 20% off. So I ordered one, shared that on Reddit and then someone else replied with "EMB25" and I was like, "CRAP!!!"
DtotheatothevtotheeWell maybe.... (scratching head) I could of tried 30 or 35 first... mhmmm.... Thanks again Dave , the code was the tie breaker in my books. I could make my mind up between the fireant vs vargo
