Enclave’s take on the classic wayfarer, the Model 20 sunglasses are so comfortable and stylish, you’ll never want to take them off. The polycarbonate front frame and ear tips come in multiple colors, and the company’s signature brushed stainless steel arms complete the look Read More
jiffipopAnd on the opposite end of the spectrum, I have a small face and most glasses look big on me. Not sure how to get the right size ever when ordering online.
Just received my pair of sunglasses the tortoise/amber version.
The pair has a plastic but heavy feel to it. The glasses aren't that special... I wish they had a shaded/faded option. The sock in which the glasses came is just horrible... now that I have actually pulled those glasses out, I hardly get them in anymore... I don't understand why they didn't had a more decent case for these glasses.
Another surprise was... I had to pay a 20 euro extra because of customs etc. which made the price for these glasses a bit... too much in my opinion... definitely too much if I compare them to my Ray-Ban glasses.
But... I like the fact I have something different... the design is cool and I am content with the fit as well.
Overall... with a little bit more effort these glasses could have been... totally awesome!
MitchellSmithReally? Where did I say that... stick to my original post please... and just take the critique on your incorrect posted comment. It's that simple... no harm done any how... anyone can make a mistake!
I am not the one who made one though... I clearly explained myself! Thus this is final...
Looking for an answer from a Massdrop rep pls.
The shipping is $2.75 for one pair, but if you add a second pair to the order, shipping becomes $6.75. Is this a mistake, or is it actually cheaper for you guys to ship two pairs separately, than to ship them together? Thanks in advance!
Sure, no problem - I used "reddit15", but I don't know if it's still valid. I discovered the brand (and code) on Reddit where the founder occasionally posts.
What's the deal on the quality of these glasses? Where were they made? Is saving $5 from $45 MSRP worth it for them if you need sunglasses for knocking around in hiking, biking, chilling in? I heard about drama between these dudes and the Sunski peeps, so what's the deal with the company and, more importantly, with the glasses here - are they dope and well worth this price or is this just an ecommerce shenanigan to entice us into forking over $40 on overpriced glasses?
m0arpheusIt's pretty laughable and equal parts frustrating that I asked this question literally a week ago and I've not heard a single thing back. What the fuck is going on with Massdrop and this "community"? I don't care that people don't respond to me personally, but the fact that people just seem completely okay with what is pretty clear to be a "bad drop" speaks volumes about how far MD has slipped in recent years. Saving $5 of an already-inflated price of $45, especially when the campaign of Enclave is supposedly all about "cutting through the marketing shenanigans of the sunglass mafia", is honestly insulting of the average MD user's intelligence. We're not all gullible idiots here and it would be nice to be treated as such.
Just got these in tortoise/green, and wore them out on a sunny day.
Lens: looks great, decent sun filtering, some inner-lens glare thats not uncommon with colored lenses
Fit: they dont wrap like oakleys and fit tightly on the side of your head, but they're not lose, and they dont move around when on
Aesthetics: the profile on-face is great; they arent too wide, but offer good coverage and look really nice; they'd be at home on the beach, or out in jeans and a button-down
Fit & Finish: for the price, the quality-control is mind-blowing; the moving parts feel solidly-attached, and there are few (if any) imperfections
Complaints: They dont sit flat on a table, because the temple/earpieces arent fitted to each other when they fold in; minor inconvenience, but worth mentioning
Overall: I would buy these again in a heartbeart, and will likely pick up another color on the next drop. These are worth at least double what they're being sold for
berryhillI'm sold on these if they're not made out of the same flimsier materials Sunskis were made out of. I want the bridge a little wider though, I have a fucking huge nose attached to my face-meat
Can anyone tell me if these are unisex? I've been looking for a new pair of sunglasses, but I'm a lady and don't want to get stuck with a pair that are huge and falling off my face :( These look really nice.
Also, does anyone have any pictures of someone wearing them so I can get a better idea of the shape?
sahd0wyes they are unisex! the model 20's are a tad smaller than the 21's and work very well on men and women, check out sahd0w's link to see a girl in he model 20's on our insta.
EagleRockIf you check their website you can see a few pictures of people wearing them as well as pictures of them in sunlight to get a better idea of how the lenses look. Google turned up a few pictures as well but I think most of them were for the previous model.
Oh right... Yeah not trying to promote them since I don't get jack from it. But they have 30-40% sales.
That's when I got mine, worked out to about $31AUD ($23USD)!
