What is SpaceFN and why you should give it a try
The SpaceFN concept - setting up your space key as a layer switch when held - is probably one of the most useful tweaks in the keyboard hobby. Let me explain how it works. My SpaceFN article on kbd.news made some rounds recently - quite surprisingly given the age of this concept. This piece you're reading is a condensed version of the full post. If you're left with unanswered questions, you'll most likely find the info you're looking for in the original write-up. On my imaginary top list of the most useful keyboard features, tweaks and hacks, SpaceFN would deserve a podium finish for sure. But what makes it so special? In short: SpaceFN is easy to implement, easy to learn, costs nothing, can be used with any keyboard, and can improve your productivity instantly. I will list its benefits below, but can state right at this point that the SpaceFN concept, setting up your space key as a layer switch when held, is clearly one of the most useful tweaks in the keyboard hobby....

"We did have 2 guys at CES helping us getting more great products on the site, but that has absolutely no bearing on the ErgoDox fulfillment schedule what so ever. "
Sounds like you need to get your story straight ;)
Anyway, people understand that it takes time to get multiple components from multiple vendors ordered, manufactured, quality checked, shipped, etc, and that every delay from a manufacturer delays the whole process. They understand that 95% of the process is out of your control, and that you're waiting as much as they are for the most part.
What they don't understand is why you can't provide regular updates without constant pestering, or even meet your own self-imposed weekly update schedule.
All you need to do is once a week say "hey we're just waiting for the keycaps to finish production, or the cases to finish quality checks, or X to do Y" and people will be much happier, since they have some idea of what's happening. It takes 5 minutes and it will get people off your back.
