moazzamkI do not think wrist rests are healthy. I will get https://www.kinesis-ergo.com/shop/freestyle2-v3-accessory/ and am thinking of https://www.kinesis-ergo.com/shop/freestyle2-ascent-accessory/ for another kit that I'm thinking of getting. That is assuming the assembly and the NKRO will work well with https://github.com/cub-uanic/tmk_keyboard firmware.
Also got me http://plover.deco-craft.com/shop/view_product/Laser_Cut_Steno_Keys_Kit?n=2910988 with aim of making this an awesome steno keyboard, hence the need for a real NKRO over USB firmware.

sizurI am getting the wrist rests more for not damaging the acrylic than anything else. I use a Kinesis with wrist rest attachment. It is very convenient. Not sure about health issues.
sizur: I am interested in finding out if you are able to make Ergodox work with that firmware. And, if it is better than the default one meant for Ergodox. NKRO, macros. It sounds very promising.

moazzamkI just received a set of the fat palm rests. I got them mostly because the aluminum top layers can be very cold to the touch. Also, once I get the SA profile keycaps from one of the GH groupbuys, I think the fat palm rests would work out well.
The palm rests aren't tacky, but they feel velvety soft. If I turn the ErgoDox upside-down, they won't stay on, but I'm not worried about them falling off or shifting much while typing.
They are reminiscent of the palm rests on my old Fingerworks Touchstream Stealth keyboard.

moazzamkFull NKRO works like a charm on that firmware with ergodox. No issues at all. Just enable NKRO as a default. The layering system is also much more powerful than the recommended firmware.

Don't forget to make NKRO default: https://github.com/tmk/tmk_keyboard/wiki/FAQ#nkro-doesnt-work
This keymap has querty, colemak, plover steno, gaming, a mouse emulation, and a metalayer to mask them, a momentary media-system layer, and ofcourse a numpad.
I do plan to move majority of Plover functionality wholly into firmware with macros.
