Dear Massdrop: Please stay true to providing the best value to our community by eliminating excessive shipping charges wherever possible--I'm sure the same padded envelope ships for the same cost with one fire sleeve as with four fire sleeves in it. Please do not multiply shipping charge by the quantity of fire sleeves purchased. Thank you.

Think I'd rather pay the extra $1.25 over at Amazon and get it in 2 days instead of weeks. Massdrop needs to get back to being a real thing again.

Can anyone tell me what these are mainly for? do people just have them because they look cool? it is waterproof yes, but I can't picture anyone going for a swim with a lighter, on top of that it seems to add unnecessary bulk to the lighter, making it less comfortable to carry with you.

oscar.lotstrandI bought one for my roommate who works for a whitewater rafting company, but the fact that it floats would probably be enough of a reason for anyone that enjoys waterskiing, wakeboarding, or other boat activities.

A better lighter seems as if it would be a guaranteed protection rather than relying on hoping it's not too windy.

I have a green and a GITD (glow in the dark) from their KickStarter campaign. They work as described. The GITD is amazing. Set up my hammock the last hour or two of daylight, hang the FireSleeve on the ridgeline and it is still glowing in the morning. I would get more GITDs, or better yet GITDs for mini Bics, in a heartbeat.

AdamBNo idea why Exotac isn't making GITD fireSLEEVEs. Those of us who got them during their KickStarter campaign couldn't be happier with them.
