MD check your pricing for option for pearwood. MSRP is $120. You are charging more.
The Ambitions are very nice and under-appreciated pens, but $145 + shipping is hardly much of a bargain for the stainless steel version.
Fantastic pen and fantastic price. I have one in pearwood and it is just beautiful. F00lw0lf - the flow is heavy for the nib size yes. But if you like a wet writer then this is the one. ūü§ó
Edit: Well the price is not so fantastic after all. You can get it for cheaper elsewhere.

For example, my buy ended up with mouch more than that considering import and tax on top.
Penboutique has offer in store most of the times. online I think they give u a 5% I think. I got my Pearwood at Levenger store for $80!
Anyone else getting this pen noticed that the flow is rather heavy? I got the EF nib, and it behaves like a fine and having a rather heavy flow. This leads to thicker lines and sometimes blotches. Compared with other EF nib pencils I have, this one is the worst. :(

Been in contact with the Massdrop guys, and they will fix things :)
Sadly, I have noticed that after buying this that most places have this pen for far cheaper, like everywhere. Lesson learned however and the order button doesn't seem quite to appealing no more.
Unless you are getting the black resin, you'll get better deals elsewhere. They add up to $40 in the option section
Do you know if they can get an extra-fine nib on the Black Resin pen?

Yep. And MD tells the good people of Faber that there's nothing they can do about it legally. So when MD says they're "submitting an order through the vendor," it's more than likely bs for most of the brands MD "carries"

maybe the vendor is amazon? :p

Thanks again for joining this drop! We have submitted the group's order with the vendor for the Faber-Castell Ambition Fountain Pen and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.

As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where our warehouse team will break it up into individual orders and ship them. The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 1/11.

I think I got every single FC pen so far that MD had to offer. Wasn't quite happy with the nib of the E-Motion, but eventually I fixed the flow.

This one is a very elegant, slender pen and turned out to be an excellent writer. The grip isn't the best ... since there is no section to speak of, I need to hold the barrel itself, as close to the [nonexistent] section as possible. That however makes the pen barely able to rest on the webbing between my thumb and forefinger (and I don't like posting pens). So I would say it's better suited for smaller hands.

I got the pearwood finish ... it's really, really nice. Worth the extra $$$ for that natural touch.

In the last drop they offered a converter ... I went for it and turned out that the pen already had one installed. Which was just as fine, because I needed one for the Basic (which they did *not* offer with a converter back when).
here is a recent positive review to offset the review below https://www.penaddict.com/blog/2016/12/19/faber-castell-ambition-fountain-pen-review
FC pens are among the best for fit-and-finish quality. Even though steel and not flexiblke, the nibs are very smooth and adjusted on the wet side. I have both a simple black resin model and the coconut wood model. Wonderful pens. Of course, the Graf von Faber-Castell pens are defintely a step up in terms of elegance and class, but at $55, this is a great deal. The price is so good, I just may get another one :)
I've got an Ambition in Pearwood and I really like it, actually it's one of my favorite steel nib pens. I've got a fine nib and in my experience it is a rather wet writer. I have an FC converter and it fits well. One complaint is that the nib section unscrews from the barrel very easily, and a lot of times with the cap on it will spin loose so when I go to pull the cap off, the whole section pulls out from the barrel.
I want to get a Faber-Castell, but a review from a past drop on here and this review https://www.penaddict.com/blog/2016/4/7/faber-castell-ambition-blue-ocean-opart-fountain-pen-a-review

make me think this isn't the one to start with.
choiceweb0pen0
I got one from a previous drop. While it is an elegant finely-made pen, I ended-up selling it.
The thing is when I think Faber-Castell I think Graf. That's what I really wanted, and my ambition with the Ambition (aptly-named in this context) was to scratch the Faber-Castel itch. It didn't work.
It did not make me want the this limited edition snakewood any less

Theroc
That is a pretty barrel
