The absolute consistency of texture , accuracy of centering of lead in the wood, and great pigment density mark these as the preferred pencils of most designers I've discussed materials with. Get over the price... They're worth it.

If you think centering accuracy is meaningless, try sharpening a pencil made at a plant where centering is not very important!
