A One-Man Brand

A one-man operation based in Ohio, Faler delivers consistent quality through the hard work of its founder and sole craftsman, John Faler. His minimalist money carrier, the Fold Wallet, adds to his growing reputation for artisanship and time-honored style. While it’s anything but flashy, the wallet’s white stitching, distinct shape, and unique leather ensure you’re the only one of your friends with anything like it. The interior has been left in its natural grain and fitted with two simple pockets that can accommodate up to seven cards and folded bank notes.

Note: At checkout, you’ll have eight color options: dark brown, medium brown, or London tan (from J&E Sedgwick & Co.); chestnut, natural, or russet (from Wickett & Craig); or black Horween latigo or dark chestnut Horween latigo (from Horween Leather Company).

Construction

Knowing that build quality begins with the source material, Faler gathers his leather from three historic tanneries. From the 116-year-old J&E Sedgwick & Co., based in the heart of England, he sources vegetable-tanned panel hide. A bit closer to home, Pennsylvania-based Wickett & Craig provides Faler with vegetable-tanned harness hide. And from Chicago’s Horween Leather Company comes latigo, known for its soft texture and high tensile strength. With these premium leathers in hand, Faler cuts, stitches, and burnishes every piece himself, smoothing out the edges for a sleek hand feel.
