Really people MSRP Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price, This is the price Fiio suggests their distributors to sell it at. Has nothing to do with how much everyone else is selling it for. Places like Amazon can buy in larger quantities thus allowing them to sell it for considerably less. I searched it and seen the price for this unit vary from $99 to $159 so relax already. It will be a $14.01 savings if they sell enough. As long as you aren’t in a hurry every penny counts these days. I am going to order one but not till next week when my funds allow. I swear it seems like all people can do is be negative all the time, take a deep breathe and smile. Trust me I probably won’t live to see my next B-Day because I have MS and it’s slowly paralyzing my lungs. Don’t we have bigger worries than MSRP

DOCZThe MSRP for the US *is* $99.
Unfortunately, they don't seem to mention that anywhere on their website (or I couldn't find it), but here's a post by a FiiO employee on Head-Fi from before the launch stating that the target US MSRP is $100: http://www.head-fi.org/t/691332/the-all-new-fiio-x1-192k-24b-pcm5142-dac-and-100mw-output-with-lo-and-inline-remote

ProgressiveIceThat post your link leads to is over a year old. The point I was trying to make is if you don’t like it don’t buy it. Save your petty bickering for facebook. There are no hidden facts you see the price, you see the shipping, want it buy it otherwise don’t. Do we really need 3 pages of people complaining about petty issues.

DOCZYes, the price and shipping is clearly stated, and it's certainly a good price, especially for people from outside the US. But Massdrop incorrectly claims that the MSRP of this product is $160, thereby creating the illusion that this is one hell of a deal – namely $85 instead of $160 = 47% discount – although the actual discount is "only" 14%. Most of Massdrop's users are probably from the US (and so is the company itself), so in my opinion they should state the US MSRP.
