Let me just say this right of the bat. I never knew that one armature could produce such a rich and detailed sound. The Heaven III's, which I understand are the IV's with a different barrel material and come in a plain cardboard box, are absolutely amazing! The bass is reproduced by a system called Balanced Air Movement and the bass is killer- not in a gooey, Beats-like way but in a clean, articulate, and impactful way. And it doesn't bleed into that ever-so-critical midrange.
The midrange is the star of this show. Voices, piano, winds, strings - they all shine through clearly and distinctly. The trebles are well-extended without a single bit of stridency. Warm and detailed is the best way to describe the sound.
Because of their sensitivity, they can easily be powered by any mobile device to deafening levels. But the III's can really show off their stuff with a good headphone amp. I power mine with a Fiio A3 and boy, they go from really good to outstanding. All the frequencies are made even clearer and more detailed. Anyone who didn't know this was coming from one armature would swear it was very high quality dynamic driver.
You definitely can't go wrong with these if you like balance between all the frequencies that are detailed yet warm and musical at the same time. I'm curious now about the VI's (just within my budget) and the F series and maybe I might try something in that group one day. But for now, the III's are wonderful! I'm now a FAD fan!
raaj.gsBecause of the skinny barrel design, they actually fit very well. I normally have issues with iem's but not these. There are a variety of tips so finding the right size shouldn't be a problem.
raaj.gsFit and isolation are good. Fit is easy and they don't have to be crazy deep like Etymotic that hurt and sound flat and empty anyways. Isolation is not 100% but it's enough, Id'e say 80% which is good as it's important to be able to hear around you in case of emergencies etc.
HikingDawgI've had mine for a couple weeks and so far so good. They seem solid and with proper care, I see no reason why they shouldn't last for a long time.
housepianistI've got both the Heaven IIIs and the F4100s, and I honestly like the IIIs better for general listening. They're brilliant at handling whatever musical genre you throw at them. The F4100s are more finicky about what they like and what they don't. I think it's because they're more neutral than the IIIs, and neutral is something I'm not that used to.
Still gonna get the F7200s sometime, though.
And definitely try one of the Sonorous sets. They are fantastic.
(god, I've had to retype this three times because this phone hates massdrop.)
