What is the warranty on those poles? I bought a pair with Drop a couple years ago, and barely used them, but the pole grip on one came off completely and then broke in two after I put it back on... Was a real bummer as I had twisted my ankle and really needed the pole...
geekyhikerI contacted Fizan support and they responded that they do not support the poles sold through Drop, and I should go through Drop's customer service. Be aware of that.
geekyhikerDrop says the warranty is 1-year only. In my experience when there is a major structural defect it is lifetime. Buyer beware. I used them very little and did not do anything silly with them. They just broke.
Broke a pole section hiking the Appalachian Trail over this weekend. Lost focus and slipped on loose gravel and fell on its length in Palmerton, PA. 100% user error. Grabbing two next drop. One for myself and a friend.

These are fantastic poles, I snapped one 3 miles into a 100+ mile hike, but the other single pole has around 200 miles of usage on them and I have not had any issues with slipping and the grips are very comfortable to use. The snap was completely my fault as I slipped down a slope while the pole was jammed into some gravel with the straps on. (Lesson learned, no more straps) The only complaints I have were that the straps were really difficult to adjust as there were no instructions and the finish came off really easily (not an issue). For 50 bucks, there aren't any other options at this price range that will perform nearly as well. I'd seriously considering getting another pair but my single pole is holding up well :)
Since I have over 3000 miles experience with these poles I can speak to their impressive durability. I have taken falls on them, jammed them between boulders, forded streams, and thrown them off of cliffs. After enough abuse they will bend a bit and become more difficult to collapse but its not that big of a deal unless you need to adjust them constantly. By switching the handles for Gossamer Gear's cork pole grips you can save about .7 oz. These poles are truly in a class of there own when it comes to weight/cost/durability.
