It sounds crazy, but this 3.9-inch-long flashlight can put out up to 1,200 lumens for 2 hours. That’s a whole lot of power in a compact frame Read More
Good, but would prefer a tail switch for pocket carry
Puts out lots of light with very handy light levels. Charges quickly and easily with just a micro USB cable. The only downside is that the switch can turn on the flashlight if you pocket carry. I much prefer a tail switch for my pocket carry flashlights. Still a great value, and build very well.
Great value for 1200 lumens. I have two complaints. The first is that the on/off button is positioned in the exact location as the charging port. They are both covered with a rubber boot, so when you go to turn on the light, it's a 50/50 chance you hit the right spot. That's an issue in the dark of course. My only other complaint is that you can't narrow the beam. If you could do that, this light would be significantly better. Lighting up a large area with 850 lumens vs 1200 lumens isn't much different. Getting that light deep into the woods though, 1200 is definitely better than 850; it's just too wide of a beam. As a test, I took the lights onto a golf course and pointed it 165 yds down a fairway at a flag. The 850 lumen light did not reveal the flag, the 1200 did.
This light quit properly charging after the second charge. It won't accept a full charge rendering the high modes inoperable. Be aware, Massdrop will not honor a warranty nor help in anyway to fix this issue with my product. I strongly urge you to reconsider purchasing from them.

Urge you all to file a complaint against Massdrop and Folomov. Everyone is having the same issues with this light. Massdrop won't protect its customers on this defective light.

It only takes a few minutes. If we all file we can at least get a replacement or a refund.
jaymesnelsonSo..how many days beyond the 30 were you in finding this fault after the 2nd charge?
Honestly, I did not know of the policy regarding OEM warranty coverage for items not backed by the manufacturer, which is good to know. At the end of the day though..if the manufacturer won't back their own product design/engineering/quality why would you buy their product? It seems Massdrop are attempting to protect their client base here, even if the T&C's are a well kept secret!
jaymesnelsonI just love to hate these fucking statements that MD just loves to push down users` throat such as "Thank you for your understanding of this policy."
No, I DON'T FUCKING UNDERSTAND!!!!! That's why we're writing. It's like seeing someone laying on the road with their gut hanging out and asking "Does that hurt?"

jaymesnelsonFWIW I received a refund promptly from Massdrop upon return of the flashlight. However, with that said this is my 3rd deal with Massdrop where I had to return and get a refund, instead of a replacement, and this is getting old. To the good, when I returned the flashlight, I found another on Amazon for almost half the price, with pretty much the same features.

I have used this twice and charged it twice. The charging port no longer works. I have tried using different charging cables and different batteries. Although bright, I would not recommend. If it does not charge as it was intended it is almost useless as a rechargeable light. This is not my only USB rechargeable light as I have several, but this will go in the junk box.

After a few weeks, this died on me too. I have swapped out battery for a genuine Panasonic protected 18650; I have verified this is not just the triple-click locking feature (a nice feature when this worked) - now a paperweight, although the included batteries are still useable...
