Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. I'm withholding judgement for the sound atm. My initial impressions are that they sound much clearer in one sense but muddier in another sense. I don't have expensive headphones like these lying around, but I do have an AKG K240 MKII. There is a definite improvement in the lows. Each type of sound is far better defined. It's like you can hear each single sound standing out, whereas with the K240 they blend more together. At the same time I'm feeling like with the Fostex each sound is missing something. But it might just be that I'm not used to it because it sounds so different in some ways.
Aside from music, I've booted up DOOM in one of the hell levels. When the demonic voice recites the prophecy it sounds amazing. I'll update my impressions once I feel that I can better judge these.
