Are the brown and green ebonite actually another material, or just a pattern? I’ve seen the feeds of pens (including this one) described as ebonite, but I’m not 100% on what that really means.

neil.rEbonite is hard rubber, while the more common material is plastic. While it is supposed to be a better material for feeds, I have also come across plastic feeds that have no issues with ink delivery.

neil.rHi Neil, The green and brown ebonite versions are real ebonite, which is essentially a hardened rubber. There is no plastic in a Himalaya pen apart from the converter. Kevin Fountain Pen Revolution

FountainPenRevolutionThank you. Next question: can the nibs easily be moved between pens? I'm looking at acrylic and ebonite pens and regular and flex nibs. If I don't like my pairing, can I change it?

neil.rThe nibs and feeds on these pens are friction fit and can be changed.
