Am I the only one questioning the characterization of this watch as a ‘dress’ watch? Too much going on with that dial, I like though, but the simple Patek someone posted below is more my idea of a dress watch.
Anymore I check the case size before getting too enamored with a design. This one surprised me with its sweet-spot (for me) size. That recent Ingersoll surprised me too, and dammit I like that one better! Maybe I do need to bulk up a bit, to expand my watch options.
The Alpinist wears great does 1mm really make that much of a difference with the word junior in the Description i didn’t think the watch was made by his son
I have a Patek Phillipe I inherited. I’m 6’3” and wear it whenever I go formal. It’s slim, simple, elegant.... and 36mm. I’ve never had anyone say, “Your watch sure is small”! On the contrary, the comments, if any, are usually, “What a beautiful watch that is”!
i’m always amused by those in our community who are so concerned about size. Good taste and elegance never go out of style
"Junior" and "Charming Quirks"--two marketing terms us alpha-male types just can't resist!

And thanks for doing the I know what today's date is, but what was yesterday's date? math for us too.
No point in burning through limited brain cells if we can get someone else to do the heavy lifting instead!
I like big dates and I cannot lie.
It's been a minor thing on both of my Citizens. They both have minute hands that obscure the date windows at quarter-past, though on one I can kind of still see the number from an angle.
There may be some subconscious quirk that has me checking the time at the wrong time more times than not.
