First impressions of the vegetable and cheese peeler:
The slice thickness is unfortunately not adjustable. Cheese sliced with this tool will be about 1.6 mm thick, which I would call "moderately thin". The force required to slice cheese is small, relative to other cheese slicers and knives I have used. Applying a little extra force helps to ensure even pressure across the blade so the resulting slice is not thick on one side and thin on the other. After a few tries, I was able to create very uniform slices.
I am used to slicing cheese in a downward motion; however, that would only work with this tool if you were slicing at the edge of the countertop, in which case the slice would likely fall onto the floor. The butt of the handle is the leading edge in the direction of travel, so this tool is best used to slice horizontally.
The blade is serrated, so the resulting slices have many small parallel lines on them. These lines are spaced 1 mm apart and are deep enough to impart the cheese with a noticeable texture. The tool is not neither easy nor difficult to clean.
I did not test this peeler with any vegetables. The packaging recommends using this tool on cabbage and green onions.

I joined the drop for the Universal– Stainless Steel, Julienne, Vegetable and Cheese peelers. When they arrived it only took a minute to adjust to the grips and feel of each one. The blades are fantastic and slice through everything with extreme ease and precision. With carrots and potatoes it only took what was necessary leaving the meat of the vegitable intact and very little waste. The julienne peeler cut perfect long strands of vegitables every time and whether you like thinly scalloped potatoes(very thin at approx 1mm thickness) or simply prefer buying cheese by the block, then the vegetable and cheese peeler is quick and effective for the job.
If if you have the opportunity to join this drop you will not be disappointed. From the weekend cook to the everyday home chef this is definitely a must have. It saves a lot of time (compared to your everyday supermarket bought cheap peelers) and they peel with very little effort.
