HassanSHere's a quick photo. The Genelec monitors are driven by a TEAC UD-501 DAC with Emotiva Control Freak volume control. Very happy with this new setup!

powerjacvery nice set up! happy you liked the speakers! every kind of music is a pure treat with these monitors, and the big sound coming out of those tiny speakers are nothing far from amazing.
powerjacBig fan of minimalist setups. Those look great!
I also looked up the Emotiva Control Freak, what are your thoughts on it? I had a Griffin branded one that worked just fine, but felt light in the hand.

HassanSI'm pretty happy with the Control Freak. It's nice that it's available in both RCA and balanced XLR variants to accommodate different system setups. I'm using the RCA version with the Genelec speakers. The knob has a decent amount of heft and nice solid base that keeps it from sliding around the desk too much. There is a slight L/R channel imbalance at very low volume settings that goes away once the output is turned up a bit.
I also considered the TC Electronic Level Pilot but just couldn't justify the almost $100 for a pot and metal knob.

powerjacMan, that's a huge DAC when compared to the speakers.
