This actual card was selling in the low 500's a couple months ago before the latest run on GPUs. So it's 850 bucks for a 170 dollar mobo and a 520 dollar card. I'm shopping for a 1080, but I think I'll just wait for GPU prices to come back down to earth.

PolymemeThat's dependent on crypto values going down. This is a deal for the GPU alone.

PolymemeI do remember how cheap 290x's got after Bitcoin relaxed a couple years ago. It will be rather sick if we see 1080ti's selling for $200 next year. My fear i that the craze never ends and we will be waiting for years as new GPU fabs and RAM factories get build to handle the new capacity.

PolymemeWait.... you are going to miss this for $20? I would hop on this if I were you. Good luck finding a 1080 for this price
PolymemeJust an FYI, pricing is only going to continue to go up throughout this year.

PolymemeI bought this card here on massdrop for $450, and I regret only getting one card every day

Tex-ArozziCan you share how you came to that conclusion. Cryptocurrencies have taken huge price hits for the last two months. Not to mention, AMD and Nvidia have both said they will up production. Why would this lead to an increase in prices all year?
Sleepypheonix18Had a meeting with NVIDIA this week here at Massdrop HQ. They stated there would be no relief in allocation or the availability of cards until at least mid Q3 if not later.

Tex-ArozziThank you for the insight. I guess I was just hopeful with all the recent news.
