you don't understand mineral crystal? This is a classic version of the watch which emulates vintage styling. There are plenty of watches around this price range from reputable brands that use mineral crystal. Equally priced Orient Stars with similar MSRPs have mineral crystals. Even higher end brands do homages to old vintage lines such as Junghans which use mineral crystal on their maxbill line. It's up to the manufacturer to decide what's fitting for the watches' styling. This isn't a dive watch or a utilitarian watch. This is a more casual everyday/dress watch which doesn't really need a sapphire glass but as you mentioned, they give you the option. Mineral crystal isn't bad and you must be pretty new to the watch world to think so. Stupid lmao.

O-krubI must agree a Mineral K-1 type crystal is much more shatter proof than sapphire and although sapphire is more scratch resistant it's a trade off should not be a deal breaker. Couple of other points mineral is cheap to replace , poly watch is your friend. I own over 40 watches I am a collector and it would not stop me. Oh also you have to have sapphire send to Glycine they can switch it out if you really love this particular style, should still be cost effective at this price point.

I'm not sure what you're complaining about here, if you don't like the mineral crystal then get the sapphire version or chose another watch entirely. It doesn't take a spine surgeon to figure that out lol.
