Excellent look and superb value
I couldn't be more pleased. The reviews I have read through the discussions is disappointing. It seems as though people feel the need to find any issue they can even when posting positive reviews. As far as value goes, i don't think you can find a better value than the Glycine combat sub. I own several. The heritage, the design, the overall quality for the price all are fantastic. I own many very high end watches, some pushing into double digit pricing and I proudly wear my Glycines regularly. The movement while not decorated or decked out is superior in action and smoother then most of my higher end pieces. these watches just feel like they can take a beating and on top of that, i never worry due to their inexpensive pricing. As far as a bronze watch goes, Ive been looking at them forever and it was between and Autavia and a Zenith when this popped up on Drop. I am HAPPY to have this be my first bronze time piece. Its got everything I wanted and more. I LOVE the color scheme and the white date window with red print to compliment the watch. The bronze buckle is fantastic and while the others complain about the quality of the leather strap, I found it to be surprisingly nice. Its thick, comfortable, smells rugged and aromatic, and seems like it will last the life of the watch. I just replaced My breitling navitimers strap with an OEM for $200 and within several times of wearing it, the cheap leather folds over at the buckle limp and lifelessly. Is it supple, yes, will it stand the test of time....nope. Will the Glycine strap....1000%. The lume is plentiful and good, though not a seiko. Those who've owned Glycines know what to expect and shouldn't be let down. The watch comes sealed in a vacuum pack and looks bright and beautiful when taken out. Within just three days of wearing it, it has already started oxidizing and I can tell it will be EXCELLENT. Congrats to those who scored on this one.

This is an amazing score from Drop. Great price, and when it came - I was immediately blown away by its look, feel, quality and presence. Initial impressions upon unboxing and setting the time are awesome. 5 star. This is my 2nd Combat Sub, and when I compare it to my GL0084, this bronze beauty has a look and feel of quality that the other lacks. The guilt hands, the colours on the bezel and the dial just make it pop. The crown action is solid Combat Sub. The way the date wheel indexes to the next day upon setting the time, just a crispness to it that my other Sub lacks. The leather band this comes with is a nice deep brown and a little aged. I cannot wait to break it in. I am surprised it tapers from 22 at the lugs to a 20 at the buckle, as I was expecting a straight cut leather strap, as with my Airman. The bronze buckle is amazing and a modern design, not the traditional Glycine buckle I've come to expect. Happy that there are quick release spring bars in lieu of drilled lugs. Makes switching to something waterproof much quicker. What surprises me most is the improved quality on the bezel. It is so smooth compared to my GL0084 combat sub, which is notchy. And its no wonder. This GL0267 has been upgraded to a 120 click bezel over the old 60 click bezel found in the GL0084. I am super pleased at this Drop. I have nothing to complain about the quality of the product that Glycine pushes out. If anything at all, I am only wondering why this was sold as a Glycine + Drop exclusive since this can be found on the internet for sale now, even before we received our GL0267s from Drop. All that is exclusive on this piece is perhaps the mention of Drop on the caseback. All in though, an amazing win from Drop!

Well worth the wait!
Overall, a nice watch for the money. I'm not fond of leather straps on dive-style watches. The strap provided is just too heavy and thick, in my opinion, not suited for a low profile watch like the Glycine. I put a flat brown Rubber strap on it with a bronze buckle of my own. Looks great and more appropriate. The watch is nicely finished and is running 5 seconds fast per day. That's fine with me, as I'm not OCD about that. Bezel lines up perfectly and turns smoothly as opposed to many watches where the bezel requires a grip of steel to turn it. Much nicer than many of the more expensive microbrand bronze watches I've handled.

I wasn't sure I was going to love the flat dial without applied markers, but it has grown on me immensely. I think I would still prefer it with them, but overall, the watch is absolutely superb. Timing has been accurate, hasn't lost a minute in about a week. Unbelievably firm, loud detents on the bezel. Patina is developing pretty rapidly since I'm a paramedic and everything gets washed a ton so it's getting a lot of freshwater baths, watch strap needed quite a bit of conditioning when I got it to be soft again, followed by a couple coats and heat treatment with sno-seal, but that's just kinda standard practice with any leather product - you can't know how recently that leather was made, so always err on the side of a little saphir conditioner. Otherwise, I like the watch strap a lot. A tad thick, but the bronze buckle is nice and low profile unlike the bronze buckle on my bronze Vostok N1 Overall, super, super happy with the watch. Looks amazing, not too big, not too small for my teeny tiny wrists. Not too heavy but still substantial. This one, my seiko five, my vostok amphibia, and my vostok europe N1 bronze are staying with me until I die. That's for sure. Instant permanent collection piece. My literal only complaint is that it says "Massdrop" on the caseback. It's small, but I'm just not a fan of MD and they didn't actually contribute anything into the design, so I personally would have preferred it not say that, just that it was a special edition.

HoneybadgersWhy oh why do they brand their colabs with bloody "Drop" / "Massdrop"?! - Cheapens the look of EVERY SINGLE PRODUCT! I wish they would stop doing it. Great review btw. Thanks :)

Not my first Glycine and not my first bronze diver. Quality is very good, design is good...even the supplied leather strap is good. Overall, very happy with the piece.

Awesome
Really loving this special edition watch. This is my 2nd Glycine purchase from Drop and I have to say I'm a fan of the brand. They keep good time, they're well finished with all the features, and the price is right. They look and feel like a much more expensive piece and I'm constantly getting compliments from people on my Glycine Sub. Did I mention they are surprisingly thin? This model sits very flat on the wrist. This new special edition is fantastic. Neat, clean, all the pieces line up right. It looks very fresh (brown dial? who's doing that??) and the bronze is a really nice deep reddish copper heavy blend that really fits very nicely with the (thick, quality) brown strap. I think if I was going to dig deep and find something to complain about I would say that I would have preferred the stitching on the strap to have some options (red? maybe a reddish brown to kind of blend? IDK) but this is really a very quality piece that I'm very very happy to add to my collection.

Absolutely love it!
I am very happy with the way the watch looks and feels on my wrist. The watch is very thin, especially compared to other divers. This makes it a very comfortable wear on my smaller wrist although the lug to lug distance is not short. There is a clear step up in quality when compared to Seiko prospex divers in this price range. This can be felt in the way the crown winds and how solid it feels. The winding action feels very smooth and so is screwing it in. There is no sandy/grainy sound or feedback.  The bezel action is very clicky and precise albeit a bit loud. You can feel the feedback from each individual click and there is no back play. I much prefer this type of bezel action to the more mushy and muted feedback I get from my Seiko’s. There were no QC issues and everything lines up perfect. I am looking forward to see how my bronze watch will patina with age. This is my first Glycine, my collection predominantly consists of Seikos and G-Shocks. Going by the quality of this watch, I will be looking to add more Swiss pieces into my collection. I would recommend this watch to a friend, especially at this price point.

Bad because I got a used and worn watch!!
I got my watch today from DHL - several weeks after official shipping day! No problem so far because of covid19. ... but ... I got a used and worn watch!! It was not sealed - the vacuum plastic bag was opened! Second there were several traces of wear on the band and the case (sweat patina)!!! This was clear a costumers returned watch!! I contacted the drop.com support to send this watch back and get my money back inklusive my € 60,53,- that I had to pay DHL for customs and shipping costs! All in all it is ridiculous that they really send used watches to their customers in the hope that they keep calm and say nothing! This was for shure my last buy here on drop.com ... Now we will see how their 'premium' support will handle this! And when! :-/

I have two other combat subs and this one looks classier. The bronze and leather and the flat dial instead of textured really separates it from the rest of the collection. If you have the chance to pick this up later don’t hesitate.

Great Swiss made above entry level
This watch is a very nice addition to my collection. It is very well built, for the price, I don't think you can find better quality. The rotating bezel is tight, maybe too much, I have trouble moving it without putting the effort. The luminescence is just fantastic. Seconds hand movement is smooth. I hope the bronze will age gracefully .
