Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. Oh and if there is anyone from Canada that has joined a drop like this I am just wondering if duty is incurred on this as it's made in Colorado?
Cheers!
I'll be honest with you, for the money I'd much rather buy the Schiit Jotunheim with DAC instead of the m9XX since the Jotunheim is a much more flexible and powerful unit.
In terms of duty, a lot of electronics gear is zero-rated under NAFTA (e.g. headphones), but it would really be ideal if MassDrop told people the custom code each product ships with so they can verify for themselves.
Lastly - I joined this drop and can't wait to try it out!! While not as portable as a battery-powered Mojo, I wanted some transportability for what would mostly be desktop usage. I looked into the Jotunheim with DAC, but felt like if I was going to go with a full desktop option with balanced features etc, I'd likely opt for separate amp and dac. I'm new here, but there's my $0.02...
I appreciate the replies!
Thanks!
