shakedbc2I sent Gregory an Email asking, and saying specifically that I was buying through Massdrop and they responded.
Dear Stephen:
Thank you for your recent email and interest in Gregory backpacks.
Please be advised, all of our new products are covered under the limited lifetime warranty, and would not depend on where the pack was purchased from. Our warranty can be viewed at :

StephireI can tell you they are fantastic about warranty. You won't have any issues with it. Gregory is top notch - I can speak from experience. I have a 7 year old Baltoro that I sort of "hate" because it just won't die :). j/k - I love it.
Looking at getting my first 65L backpack to carry approximately 30 lbs. Some other backpacks I'm looking at are the Osprey Atmos 65L and the ULA Catalyst. Any recommendations?
Good idea. And be sure to say, "Hey, thanks for your time and expertise helping me get a great fit. Thanks for spending the money to keep all these packs in inventory in this nice facility. That's why I love REI. Now that I know exactly what I want, I'll go buy it online. Have a great day!"
I had the same experience with this bag. I joined the drop for this bag about two months ago and once I loaded the bag to full capacity the belt dug into my hips. I did go to rei and get it fitting, but I didn't have any weight in the bag so it felt fine (armature move on my part ).
Massdrop - You might consider reading up on how to adjust a backpack properly. Both models have them on completely wrong. Doesn't help show the packs at their best.
CinematicFilmAnd in the pictures where the guy is wearing the red pack with purple trim, well that's the Deva - the female version. They've had the same pictures up for 2 years now.
I already have a new model Baltoro 65 on order with REI, used my 20% coupon but this is a great price. As I walked into the store I wanted to go with the Osprey Aether 60 (because of the water bottle access), had it loaded up to 48 lbs total and walked around. It wasn't very good for me, it seemed that almost all of the weight was on the hipbelt, and especially at the front of the hip bones which would very likely become a hot spot. Also when I turned a corner the pack wanted to keep going straight, it was very unstable. I loaded the Baltoro 65 up with the same weights, but for a 1/2 pound less total weight, because in spite of what people are saying the weight of this pack, the 2018 model anyway, is good for it's class. The Baltoro was stable and comfortable at 47-1/2 lbs, and the weight was mainly on the general lumbar area, no hot spots anywhere. I have come to realize that Gregory packs work very well with my body type, packs without a pronounced lumbar curve require excessive belt tightening, often to the max even with a small belt, and I don't wear size small anything. I also have a Paragon 58 which I love - up to about 33 pounds total weight though. In actual use I will subtract weight from the pack, I will ditch the raincover, hydration carrier/daypack, and sleeping compartment separator, and perhaps even the lid (I'll have to take a closer look at that upon receipt).
