Hey guys,
The limits for this drop is not displaying on the page, just wanted to give you guys a heads up that this drop is limited to 50 units. Enjoy!
It's hard to say if Bandai will release a new version of the custom, but if you don't already have one you can pick up a older kit that was released back in 2000 that is a 144 scale for around $10 US, as well as Bandai will sometimes do reproductions of P-Bandai kits, though it is rare. Just keep your eye on their website to see if they will be releasing more of it each month. I actually just ordered a reproduction Heavy arms custom from a Japanese dealer last Monday.
Been waiting to get this kit for quite a while, by far the best price I've seen it at in a long time. Definitely getting it, D.Hell is one of my favorite Gundams.
I like these models but I have been holding out due to concerns of painting them poorly. Has anyone found these difficult to paint or does the larger size of these make the details easier? I used to dabble in 40k models but they were so tiny that I was rarely happy with the end result. Thanks in advance for any responses!
ValzaanCome to reddit.com/r/gunpla. Lots of support and tutorials. You absolutely do not need to paint these to get a good looking kit. Basic panel lining, decals, and a top coat and you'll have a really nice looking piece. Most Master Grade kits are around 8-9 inches tall, so are much larger than WH40K miniatures. The detail is clear and easy to highlight with a panel line marker or a basic wash. Most MG decals are stickers, and are easy to apply. You can get a good Mr. Hobby or Tamiya topcoat in a can for about $10-15 (like this: http://www.gundamplanet.com/mr-top-coat-spray-88ml-flat.html). But even if all you do is an OOB build, it's still going to look pretty cool, and the $30.99 price point is decent (dunno how much the shipping is, though...). This kit at this price could well be a good place to start.
edit: just saw the shipping is about $9. That puts this on a par with Amazon Prime ($40.43 and free shipping). Still a pretty good price.
