Talk to a optician, they're going to be your best bet and who recommend the filters/film on my day to day glasses.

guisess93Unfortunately the very nature of these sorts of glasses (computer glasses) mean they don't make them with fancy frames. Gunnars aren't bad at all in terms of quality either, but their style is questionable to most. Either way, you're going to order something online, and a lot of retailers do international shipping just the same.

CyphreI'm thinking of these Gamma Ray optics. Their prices are much more affordable. Just 10-20$ on Amazon

guisess93Look almost identical to the Corn YJ-1 (and cost the same) I picked up on Newegg recently. I also bought a pair from this other site because there is a coupon code https://starlikestore.com/products/anti-blue-light-gaming-glasses?variant=25947832647 which makes them 'free' plus shipping if the code 'REDDIT GAMING' still works.
Unfortunately I haven't received either yet to see if they are as effective as Gunnars, or if their build quality is decent.

guisess93Finally received both in the mail. Both have fairly thick plastic frames, which is already a downside compared to my current Gunnars, as the border around the lenses is quite visible. They are also fairly stiff, as to be expected from solid plastic frames while the hinges are... scratchy? They don't fold/unfold very well. The overall width, due to the lens shape, is fairly narrow and are suitable for complete coverage on my 27" and possible a 34" widescreen monitor, but definitely not enough for my current dual 27" setup. There is a good reason for the wide and curved designs of most Gunnars.
Both have noticeably darker tints, so colors are a bit more distorted than usual. However they are at least flatter lenses so there is less chance of any radial distortion (i.e. when turning your head, causing image refraction). The only notable difference is that the set from Corn has a fairly similar coating (reflects the same light blue color on the outer lens) to Gunnars, where the Starlike set has a more purple tint, similar to what you'd find on standard prescription glasses. Although the Corn lenses barely have a coating at all compared to the Gunnars, so I question their overall efficiency in their intended use.
Overall, I'd say the Starlikes beat out the Corns, but neither of which do anything as well as the Gunnars. Especially at the intended retail price of the Starlikes at $40. All the same, you're still likely to fund deals on Gunnars every so often. Their usefulness is sort of subjective, as none of these companies have any testing sheets indicating how well their lenses perform under specific conditions and specific wavelengths of light.

Cyphrethank you very much for your review. You say these glasses have flatter lenses than Gunnar, is this the same as saying Gunnar has magnification while these two don't? I'm lightly short-sighted, though I don't need to wear prescription glass when using PC, I wonder if magnification will be useful.

guisess93No, they are just much narrower frames with different shape lenses. All glasses have some form of curvature to prevent refraction from distorting an image you see through them. Magnification is only present if there is some difference between the the radius (curvature) of the front and back of the lens, which would make it a convex or concave lens. The Gunnar frames have somewhat wider lenses, but are curved so that they cover more of your field of view.

guisess93I typically use ebay, as amazon is mostly composed of independent sellers anyway. Sort of depends on shipping availability however. Woot I haven't used much because their deals are still rare for anything I'd ever be looking for. Always an option if you keep an eye out!
