Support for Alternative Layouts
This is a summary of how alternative layouts have been supported by kits such as Colevrak and Homing. It is not a discussion of alt layout performance and development, but if that interests you I highly recommend starting with Pascal Getreuer’s A guide to alt keyboard layouts (why, how, which one?). It’s a concise and comprehensive overview with links to some great sites that go deeper. He also has a separate Links about keyboards page. I presume this is the UV protection we are talking about? I am not sure if you could fully UV protect resin as I am not informed on the topic..
It's mostly trial and error for the artist for what to choose before they can claim that their piece won't yellow out (if the artist has already tested out different resin brands, found a method through chemistry, chemical methods....etc). In this case now I know I'll have to give this piece extra care and save it for special occasions for when friends visits, keyboard pics for setups etc). Again, it's good to know that Hammer will add additional Chemicals into his mixture to slow down the yellowing process. Hope the beige will match that future change well into a vintage look.....

As much as I like the key cap, I wont be doing any of the aforementioned covering of keyboards and what not. I guess time will tell what the keycap will look like :-)
