that's it. I've realised what MD is about. MD is all about guys with too much money stuck for ideas on how to spend they money. I mean seriously. Who the heck wants a "handmade" hanky?

TigerUKHowever people don't do that any more because we have tools to help us with that. Last time I checked there is not any other tool that can do everything a hanky can, and the fact that it is hand made verses mass produced just like saying why would anyone buy say handmade glassware because they like the look of it and they want to help the artist who is trying to make a living doing their craft.

People have this romantic notion that these "handmade" stuff that cost x5 as much are superior to the imported stuff. Some vendor on MD sells handmade watch straps for $50. Well guess what, these $10 watch straps from china are hand made too. They're just done to scale one guy doijg the holes, another guy doing the stitching, anothe rguy doing the lug pin holes. They do it in batches of 1000 and are efficient at it.
You're just paying over the odds because they're really inefficient at their work.
