Do these boots come in wide. I'm very apprehensive about buying hiking footwear. Can these be returned if they do not fit? Any information is appreciated.
vvarriale66|they do make a wide version. This drop didnt seem to offer that option though. although I did start a poll for the wide model of these boots, I have since bought the Tatra Wide elsewhere for a good price. If I remember Ill try to let you know how they fit.
vvarriale66They arrived today, wearing them around the house. Obviously hard to tell in the first day; but first impressions although they certainly feel wider than my older standard Alaska boots...they look remarkably narrow on my feet. I generally think Hanwag fit pretty narrow, so I would say their wide would be closer to a standard width when compared to most footwear. I take EE in running shoes etc. These are probably as narrow as I can get away with, but could have stood a tad more room. (not sure if that helps you at all...lol)
vvarriale66PS...Just slipped my wide Superfeet insoles from my EE running shoes into them....they were pretty tight going in, but they did go...take from that what you will.
Rogersd902I'm just trying to figure out if getting a boot on line without a return policy because of fir is a good idea on my part, Some people are fortunate to have normal feet. I don't.Footwear is so subjective
Ortep@vvarriale66 and @Ortep and @Rogersd902 Sorry it took a while to follow up with your post here, but if you search around Hanwag's site, you'll see that they do make the Tatra in narrow, regular, wide and bunion sizes. They have it in unlined and gore-tex versions, though I'm not sure off-hand if all size options are available in both style.
