Also, the new HE-560 will be out soon. Looks like the bass is more controlled and extends lower. Plus they finally weigh less than a pound :)

wlticeI do agree with you about HE-500 being better.
Had the HE-500 and liked the overall sound quality (except for the bass being uncontrolled and with a noticeable rolloff).
but the HE-500 are just too heavy and weren't approachable at all for me.
