Higonokami Blue Paper Folding Knives

The fit and finish on this knife is not above average. You can order a Sakai hig of equal or better quality on Needsupply.com. It shipped quite dull. But from my experience with Japanese makers, knives are often dull when shipped wholesale to avoid unnecessary liability. I sharpened this on Norton 1000, 4000 & 8000 polishing stones and now I can shave with it. How long the edge lasts will represent how well the Aogami steel was heat treated. I think I overspent on this blade by about $20 but for all those that have already purchased the knife, take some time to develop the edge and then hone on diamond sprayed horse leather. It will bring out the edge and make it an excellent horticulture shear or mushroom knife or any other delicate use you might have.

I put peanut butter on my toast with sharper knives than this. The action on my knife is super gritty. HIGHLY disappointing. Massdrop I think its time that you started really making sure that you are selling quality items and not junk like this.

I bought 2 of these. Pretty underwhelmed by the quality. One of the blades would cut copier paper reasonably well but the other was very poorly sharpened and would not cleanly cut at all. This steel almost certainly is not Super Blue (nor was it represented as Super Blue)
