Update to my warranty situation: 3 days later - no response whatsoever from Massdrop. I was at least expecting something along the lines of, "unfortunately we can't ship a replacement before we receive yours bla bla bla..."
Since this is a great knife I just extracted the stripped screw and plan to grab a replacement at the hardware store. If I have trouble in the future I'll go straight to Benchamde. With Massdrop's former price advantage over other retailers dwindling, and service like this, and order fulfillment that takes weeks, I can't see the value anymore. I'll keep an eye on the emails to learn of new products, and there are the odd deals that you can't find elsewhere, but for the most part if you can find it on Amazon you're likely better off there.
